How much do eyelash extensions cost?
A full set of eyelash extensions is $200
Fills start at $65 and go up for every week you wait to get a fill (ex:: 2 week= $65, 3 week= $75, etc.)
How long is the initial appointment?
You should expect your first appointment/full set to be 3 hours. Come with clean skin (no eye makeup), un-caffeinated and ready to relax
How long are fill appointments?
Fill appointment times vary from 75 minutes up to 2 hours depending on the type of fill. (2 weeks=75 minutes, 3 weeks=90 minutes, etc.)
How do I know I'm not allergic to the adhesive?
Upon booking your first appointment Lanette will reach out and ask if you'd like to perform a patch test 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to ensure that you are not allergic to the adhesive. Patch tests are performed at Lanette's studio in Old City and take about 15 minutes.
Do I need to change my beauty routine once I have them?
Yes, but only slightly. You must refrain from using products around your eyes that contain glycol or oil as they will loosen/weaken the eyelash extension's bond to your natural lash, thus making them shed sooner than they should.
If you'd like to take extra caution, avoid using waterproof eye products.
What should I expect during my first appointment?
During your first appointment Lanette will talk to you about styles of eyelashes. You will discuss length and shape to determine a style that is best for your eye and personal preference.
Next, you will lay down on a comfortable massage table, head resting on a pillow. (The perfect place for a nap!) Lanette will then place small eye pads under your eyes to isolate your bottom lashes. Once the bottom lashes are isolated Lanette will clean your top lashes and get to work!
During this process you CAN NOT open your eyes. The fumes from the glue are too strong for the open eye and must be fanned away before opening. Be prepared to keep your eyes closed for up to 3 hours (during your initial appointment).
In the studio Lanette has soft music playing and blankets to keep you cozy. You can take this time to meditate or take a nap. If you'd like to bring your own headphones so you can totally zone out, please feel free!
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please come wearing limited makeup. Face makeup is fine, but please do not wear eye makeup if possible. If you come wearing eye makeup you will be asked to remove it.
It is best to be in comfortable clothing that you can lay in for an extended period of time.
Please do not over caffeinate before your appointment. This causes your eyelids to flutter, making it challenging to apply lashes.
Before you lay down it's best to use the restroom so you do not have to interrupt your appointment.
When will I need to come back for a refill/touch up?
You will likely start to notice that you need a fill around 10 days to 2 weeks. Typically refills occur every 2-4 weeks depending on preference and retention. If you love your lashes and want them to look fresh all the time you will benefit from 2 week lash fills. If you don't mind a bit of shedding and can wait the extra time you may prefer 3-4 week refills.
How do I take eyelash extensions off?
Lanette has a special gel remover that will break down the adhesive bond between the extension and natural lash. This process leaves your lashes healthy and undamaged. Please DO NOT try to remove them yourself! You will lose and damage natural lashes by taking them off yourself.
